Collection /Byzantine chic

The Byzantine period was the inspiration for Tel Aviv designer Anya Fleet's winter collection. Using light, thin fabrics like chiffon and silk along with knits of varying densities, Fleet has created clothes that reflect the vision of that period but still look very chic, up-to-date and relevant. And while winter is almost over, this seasonal collection has a slew of items that are suitable for pleasant spring days and even warm summer nights.

Fleet, 31, stands out in the local market, thanks to her original and feminine designs and the high quality of her work. She recently started making custom-fit garments: each item is tailored to the client's measurements while taking into account personal preferences of color, fabric and design.

The detailed production process is factored into the pricing, which is quite high. "I treat the items I designed as if they were jewelry," says Fleet. "Each item is considered down to the last detail, and most of them feature handmade touches." A careful look at the clothes does indeed reveal a considerable investment. The most impressive part of the collection is undoubtedly the hand-crafted knit dresses in different patterns. A black, short-sleeve dress is loosely knitted with kind of peacock feather pattern,Search for cheap canada goose in Jewellery for Lucknow. and ends with cloth tassels dangling softly. The gray knit dress that looks almost metallic from a distance provides a blurred glimpse of skin on the upper part, and becomes increasingly transparent along the bottom.

The item most closely associated with the source of inspiration for the entire collection is a knee-length golden dress with shoulder straps. The thick cleavage made of leather and sewn onto the dress with golden thread evokes a chest shield. The dense, uniform knit is not hermetic; its transparency results in an alluring and flirtatious look.

Despite their airy transparency, Fleet says the dresses can be worn as they are. But for those who aren't comfortable with that look, she offers a designed item in black or skin-tone that can be worn with the dress.

In addition to the knitted dresses, Fleet has designed button-down satin dresses with lace trim and lace ties. The flowing design and the lustrous pearly fabric are reminiscent of lingerie and give the dresses the appearance of comforting, cozy robes.

Another expression of the designer's tremendous creativity is reflected in the coquettish jackets. The combination of elements in them appears almost outlandish, but still works wonderfully. To a waist-length golden jacket with a subdued checker pattern, Fleet added two rows of black lace on either side of its zippers. The bottom edge and sleeves are made of thin, elastic fabric with scaled pattern that matches the rest of the jacket amazingly.

For everyday wear, Fleet also used jersey fabrics and lustrous knits with a wet-looking sheen to make jackets, tunics, cardigans and shawls, integrating lines and architectonic elements.

The impressive collection is very alluring and anyone who can afford these items will be able to enjoy them for a long time, thanks to their fine finish and sophisticated design.
