'Junque," jewelry to be offered at new Mansfield store

A new shop opened in downtown Mansfield that promises to offer unique jewelry, handbags, home accessories and more.
Junque & Jewelry Boutique officially opened its doors Friday, July 12. The shop is located in a back room of the same building as Three-Toad Treasures Funky Junk Shop at 101 N. Jefferson Street.

Debbie Huls, owner of Junque & Jewelry Boutique, says she is very excited to get back to running her own store. Huls used to own a shop called The Vintage Look Etc. in Ohio and says she really enjoyed it.

“I loved it. I loved everything about it- going to flea markets, estate sales, garage sales and meeting all the new people. You meet so many wonderful people,” she said.

Huls ran the store for two years before she moved back to Illinois, but she knew she always wanted to open another shop in the future.

Huls got her opportunity when Johnna Megeff, owner of Three-Toad Treasures Funky Junk Shop, offered her the chance to move into the building with her.

Huls says she first met Megeff at her own garage sale nearly two years ago.

“[Megeff] came to my garage sale and bought out [everything] to use in her store,” Huls said. “She cleaned me out.”

Since then, Huls and Megeff have kept in touch. When Huls brought up the idea of wanting to open her own shop, Megeff offered her a deal she couldn’t refuse.

“I jumped right on it,” Huls said.

The agreement was made just a few weeks ago, and Megeff began work immediately on getting the room move-in ready.

Huls, who also works at the Parkland College Bookstore,Shop the Michael Kors Crossbody Bags on the world's largest fashion site. said Junque & Jewelry Boutique will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. She is also looking to hire someone to help her cover the store on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Huls says her store offers an “eclectic mix” of different things. In addition to the jewelry pieces she makes herself, Huls also sells home décor items (some she has repurposed) and plans to eventually add gently used clothing too.

Huls has been making her own jewelry for a few years. She got interested in jewelry making after a friend inspired her to do it.

Huls says she’s always looking for new pieces and invites anyone looking to sell jewelry to stop by the shop.

Since coming to Mansfield, Huls says she has felt very welcome.

“I really like Mansfield. It’s very friendly, the people are great and have been very receptive [to the new store],” she said.

The entrance to Junque & Jewelry Boutique is on the south side of the building. Customers can also enter through the front door of Three-Toad Treasures Funky Junk Shop when it is open.

Of all the changes Hong Kong has gone through since the handover, the shift in the economy is the most remarkable. Shopping streets are swarmed with mainland tourists snapping up products from luxury watches and handbags to baby food and toiletries. Like it or not, they are now the lifeline of retail and tourism. On the other hand, more locals go north for jobs and businesses, and many home-grown brands can be found on the mainland.Latest collection of Michael Kors Hamilton. Such cross-border activities were unthinkable 10 years ago, as the separation of the two systems still preceded the one country. Today, integration is so essential that it is difficult to imagine the city alienated from the mainland.

All these would not have been possible without the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (Cepa), a trade pact giving Hong Kong goods and services greater access to the world's most sought-after market. Signed in 2003 after the outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome, the deal eliminated tariffs on products and gave mutual recognition of professional qualifications. Louis Vuitton travel guides hit London

Luxury travellers looking to add to their collection of coffee table city guides may want to hit bookstores in London,I can't believe I ever shopped for Michael Kors Leather Handbags elsewhere. where shelves are now stocked with Louis Vuitton's latest, limited-edition travel books.

Illustrated by Japanese artist Natsko Seki, the London guide renders sites like the Tate Modern and Regent's Canal -- sites chosen because they express the "spirit of London," she said -- in her signature style, which super-imposes hand-drawn sketches and colors on top of still photographs.

Explaining the modus operandi behind her images, Seki said in a video: "In my mind it was as if I was creating a 3D city with everyday scenes like somebody walking their dog and the passers-by turning around to look."

Other editions of Louis Vuitton Travel Books released this month include Paris, illustrated by Congolese painter Cheri Samba, New York done by French illustrator Jean-Philippe Delhomme, and Easter Island, interpreted by American artist Daniel Arsham.

Meanwhile, Starwood-owned hotel chain The Luxury Collection also launched its own series of travel guides covering Italy, Argentina, India, Spain, Greece and the US for the well-heeled traveler.Welcome to buy christian louboutin shoes from our online store.

In partnership with top-end publisher Assouline, the collection of guides features commentary from star chefs such as Mario Batali and Jose Andres and is illustrated by Vanity Fair and GQ photographer Francis Mallman.

Louis Vuitton Travel Books retail for a,45. The London edition is now available at the brand's New Bond Street location, while the four books been releasing via Amazon and elsewhere since early May.

As the old song might have it: Louie, Louie, oh baby, brands come and go.

It’s not quite that bad for Louis Vuitton, but the French vendor of swanky handbags, shoes, jewelry and other fashion items is losing some of its shine.

While LV remains the world’s number one luxury brand, Prada and Gucci are rapidly gaining ground, according to a new global brand report by Millward Brown Optimor as reported by Bloomberg.

Vuitton, part of the LMVH Group that peddles other highfalutin stuff like Moet & Chandon champagne, Dior perfume and TAGHeurer watches, now has a brand value of a mere $22.7 billion. That’s down 12 percent - bagloads for this sort of thing - from a year ago. It managed to keep ahead of number two Hermes, which held steady with a $19.1 billion brand value.

But the world’s fashion snobs are increasingly adorning themselves with Gucci and Prada wares. Gucci surged 48 percent to $12.7 billion, earning the number three spot, while Prada soared 63 percent to a brand value of $9.45 billion, ranking fourth.

It seems that Vuitton’s rivals “are better managing the trade-off between exclusivity and affordability,” Bloomberg writes, citing the report. Another factor:

“Prada’s brand awareness in China,Welcome to our michael kors outlet online shop! Here we sale Buy Michael Kors, bags, purses, wallets with very low price. Russia, Brazil and the Middle East continues to rise,” said Anastasia Kourovskaia, vice-president of Millward Brown Optimor EMEA.With avant-garde design, best quality materials and the most subtle quality, replica hublot watches is the best alternative for expensive watches.

The rankings were part of Millward Brown’s broader set of global standings called BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brand. Apple topped all at $185 billion, followed by Google, IBM, McDonald’s and Coca-Cola, in that order.

Luis Vuitton ranked 29th overall, just ahead of Samsung, which surged 51 percent in brand value to $21.4 billion. Facebook tallied 31st, having plunged 36 percent in value to $21.2 billion (click here for a full set rankings).

Rolex, Chanel, Cartier, Burberry, Fendi and Coach rounded out the Top 10 luxury companies. For some reason Wal-Mart didn’t make the luxury cut (although they finished a solid 18th among all global brands, at $36.2 billion). I think I’ll still buy my classy socks there.

6 Women Scientists Who Were Snubbed Due to Sexism

Several people posted comments about our story that noted one name was missing from the Nobel roster: Rosalind Franklin, a British biophysicist who also studied DNA. Her data were critical to Crick and Watson's work,Discover the largest collection of gucci handbags for women. but as several commenters noted, Franklin was robbed of recognition. (See her section below for details.)

She was not the first woman to have endured indignities in the male-dominated world of science,Buy Michael Kors Bags with big discount and free shipping! but Franklin's case is especially egregious, said Ruth Lewin Sime, a retired chemistry professor at Sacramento City College who has written on women in science.

Over the centuries, female researchers have had to work as "volunteer" faculty members, seen credit for significant discoveries they've made assigned to male colleagues, and been written out of textbooks.

They typically had paltry resources and fought uphill battles to achieve what they did, only "to have the credit attributed to their husbands or male colleagues," said Anne Lincoln, a sociologist at Southern Methodist University in Texas, who studies biases against women in the sciences.

Today's women scientists believe that attitudes have changed, said Laura Hoopes at Pomona College in California, who has written extensively on women in the sciences—"until it hits them in the face." Bias against female scientists is less overt, but it has not gone away.

Here are six female researchers who did groundbreaking work—and whose names are likely unfamiliar for one reason: because they are women.

Born in Northern Ireland in 1943, Jocelyn Bell Burnell discovered pulsars in 1967 while still a graduate student in radio astronomy at Cambridge University in England.

Pulsars are the remnants of massive stars that went supernova. Their very existence demonstrates that these giants didn't blow themselves into oblivion—instead, they left behind small, incredibly dense, rotating stars.

Bell Burnell discovered the recurring signals given off by their rotation while analyzing data printed out on three miles of paper from a radio telescope she helped assemble.

The finding resulted in a Nobel Prize, but the 1974 award in physics went to Anthony Hewish—Bell Burnell's supervisor—and Martin Ryle, also a radio astronomer at Cambridge University.

The snub generated a "wave of sympathy" for Bell Burnell. But in an interview with National Geographic News this month, the astronomer was fairly matter-of-fact.

"The picture people had at the time of the way that science was done was that there was a senior man—and it was always a man—who had under him a whole load of minions, junior staff, who weren't expected to think, who were only expected to do as he said," explained Bell Burnell,Welcome to buy christian louboutin shoes from our online store. now a visiting astronomy professor at the University of Oxford.

But despite the sympathy, and her groundbreaking work, Bell Burnell said she was still subject to the prevailing attitudes toward women in academia. The Michael Kors Hamilton Handbags blends fashion and function, providing a great stylish way to carry around your MacBook Pro.

"I didn't always have research jobs," she said. Many of the positions the astrophysicist was offered in her career were focused on teaching or administrative and management duties.

"[And] it was extremely hard combining family and career," Bell Burnell said, partly because the university where she worked while pregnant had no provisions for maternity leave.

She has since become quite "protective" of women in academia. Some individual schools may give them support, but Bell Burnell wants a systemic approach to boost the numbers of female researchers.

She recently chaired a working group for the Royal Society of Edinburgh, tasked with finding a strategy to boost the number of women in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and math in Scotland.Choosing a killer ensemble and Michael Kors Tote Bags each day should never be a cause of stress. Travelling Overseas??

The British Virgin Islands. Prague. Paris. London. Ireland. Spain. So many fabulous places to go…. So little time! I want to see and learn as much as I can. But I’ve learned some valuable lessons on our travels, and want to offer you some thoughts to consider before you take your trip out of this country.

Call your bank and credit card companies: Let them know what your travel itinerary is – where you going and which dates you’ll be there. I learned this one the hard way. Larry and I travelled to the Bahamas and I didn’t have the first problem – until I returned to St. Louis! I was trying to purchase a birthday gift when I returned, and my card was declined. I stepped aside and immediately called my bank, and found out that my activity was deemed “suspicious” because of my recent purchases overseas.Find a great selection of christian louboutin shoes deals ! Needless to say, I told them to lift the restriction on my card and that I would inform them of future travel plans. I’ve never since had a problem.

Find out what the currency exchange is for the country you are visiting – and consider getting Traveler’s Cheques before you go: Theft happens; getting Traveler’s Cheques before you go can give you great peace of mind! You can get these at your bank or any bank institution or credit union. American Express, AAA and MasterCard now offer a pre-paid card,We have high quality replica breitling watches, you can not miss the best Tag Heuer Replica Watches online. which is accepted anywhere Visa or MasterCard are accepted. They offer a “zero liability” card which allows you to get your money back if your card is lost or stolen. You can usually get this back within 24 hours – but be sure to keep the verification number they give you separate from your card.Looking for cheap rolex watches? If so, why not come to this store!

Consider Travel Insurance: Check your medical insurance to find out if overseas medical coverage is provided. If not, consider getting supplemental travel insurance. When my husband and I took an independent sailing trip around the British Virgin Islands two years ago, I purchased travel insurance.why christian louboutin sandals so popular in uk? I realized that if a serious injury occurred while we were on board our Catamaran, we would likely need to be airlifted to a local hospital. Our travel insurance covered airlift and hospital costs until we could get back to the United States. It wasn’t expensive, and thankfully, we didn’t need it; but it gave me great peace of mind to know it was there for us if necessary. If you don’t know where to get travel insurance, call or email me and I will help you.

When it comes to safety, don’t be cheap: It’s true – you get what you pay for. Hostels can be “adventurous” (I guess; but then, I think camping is staying at a hotel without room service…), but you should always thoroughly check reviews. My recommendation? Don’t take risks when it comes to money or your personal safety. A more expensive, American hotel is usually a better alternative. Be sure you also check online for reviews regarding the area in which you are staying. No one wants to be mugged in the street en route to even the safest hotel.

Don’t assume everyone is your friend: Always expect that people are “casing” you. Even the most modest of us appear very rich in other countries. I had a good friend whose husband bought her a gorgeous Prada purse overseas – and it was stolen right off her chair as they sat enjoying lunch. Her brave husband got it back, but it was a hard lesson learned; never let your guard down. Watch your phones, iPods and cameras. Also – don’t leave your luggage unattended and never accept a package from a stranger. Leave the fabulous jewelry – rings, watches, etc. – at home. I leave my wedding ring with our jeweler and wear a very simple band. None of it is worth losing life or limb.

Stop posting your every vacation move on FB, already! Exercise restraint and post those fabulous vacay pictures when you get home. I know, it’s so fun to share those pictures and good times with your friends. But if you don’t have exceptional Facebook security, you should assume that your posts are reaching friends of friends of friends – people you may not know, who now know you – and may know how to find where you live. So wait until you’re safely home to share those great memories.

Leave copies of your itinerary and passport: Be sure your family and/ or friends you trust have your itinerary and passport information. I have several friends who endured hardship when their passport was stolen.Welcome to Michael Kors Handbags Outlet online now. You’ll be so glad to have someone you can reach for this information if you ever need it.

Be sure you have an Advance Directive (aka Living Will): Travelling with a significant other? Be sure you have an Advance Directive. Even if you don’t have a significant other, this is an important way to ensure your wishes are carried out regarding your medical care if you are unable to understand or communicate your wishes.

My Last Days of Disco

My flirtation with the Bee Gees came not around their early AM hits like “Massachusetts.” I was one of millions to cotton on to the new Bee Gees when “Saturday Night Fever” — the best two-hour promo reel ever for a musical style — took the world by storm. That was 1977, and “Night Fever” and “Stayin' Alive” jumped out as disco warhorses.

In the months and years that followed, my musical tastes became informed by an ever-eclectic mix of sounds: 70s Rolling Stones, early R&B and soul, jazz, and the glamorous funk of disco.Buy High Quality Canada Goose Canada Goose Resolute Parka Online .

When I graduated from high school in 1979, there were two songs that had come to define disco for me: “Le Freak” by Chic and “Ring My Bell,” by Anita Ward.

After graduation, my buddy George and I headed up from North Carolina to New York for a week on vacation. Disco was the soundtrack because the city was in full disco-lockdown.

Wherever you went, it seemed like Anita Ward's bell hook was streaming out of boomboxes, cars and taxis, and shops of all sorts.

The other thing that was on our minds was Studio 54.The Men's moncler down coats is the stylish choose for you're to wear when you are walk on the city streets. We had clubs in Raleigh, but nothing like the palace we had heard about in the lyrics to “Le Freak.” But George and I were southern preppies at the time, and because of our social rank, didn't believe we had much of a chance of getting in.

Still, we headed down in our khakis, polo shirts, L.L. Bean moccasins. I recall throwing on a beat-up blue seersucker jacket just to appear slightly up-market.

George and I got in the scrum on the sidewalk in front of 54, pressing as close to the velvet rope as possible. I don't know if it was owners Steve Rubell or Ian Schrager or someone else, but there was the “casting guy” in back of the rope scanning the crowd for the right people to let in.

We had been there a couple of minutes, halfheartedly waving our hands like everyone else trying to catch the gatekeeper's attention. But he spotted us first, and then pointed. “You preppies over there, come on.”

And that was it. We were in. And it was a blast.

Fleeting, free-floating recollections: the dancers on stage in hot pants; a crescent moon that descended above the heads of the dancers, a giant spoon lowering to just below its nose, giving the moon a bump,Cheap Canada Goose Trillium Parka Full Zip Hoody For Sale. and the moon's eyes opening wide; hearing every great disco anthem ever made up to that point; the towel boys in the bathroom wearing only silver lame Speedos and high-tops; the Park Avenue women in white dresses looking as blasé Bianca Jagger, but ready to dance with anyone.

I don't recall what time we stumbled out of there. We went back for a second dose the next night, and reveled in it again.

When my aunt heard that we got in,61% off discount for Canada Goose Womens Tremblant Parka. she figured she'd come with us for a third visit. But as a threesome, we did not make the cut. Maybe because we had a third wheel that didn't quite look like us or fit in to our age cohort. Maybe it was a different gatekeeper who didn't like us and our the preppy look. Who knows?

It just felt like that bit in “Seinfeld” where George returns to the beautiful people club, but it's evaporated. There's no club. It was a mirage.

Less than a year later, I was just starting college. And in February 1980, the disco-dancing mecca of Studio 54 closed. It had been raided,Where to buy moncler jackets online? Rubell and Schrager later found guilty of tax evasion (even with Roy Cohn as their attorney), and it felt like its closing marked the end of disco in the way the Stones concert at Altamont marked the end of the 60s.

Studio 54 remained under lease to Rubell and Schrager, and it served as a live music venue in the 80s. But never again did it regain the cachet I got to witness in 1979.

YouTube HOF: Holiday Commercial-ism

Michael Weinreb: I do not know how many tri-state area children turned to a life of street-corner violence and petty crime because of the trauma brought on by Crazy Eddie commercials. All I know is that I was 5 years old when my parents moved me away from New York (presumably for this very reason), and these ads are so deeply burrowed into my subconscious that I cannot dissociate Santa Claus from the skeeviest parts of Breaking Bad.

Andy Greenwald: Growing up, no East Coast Christmas was complete without being hollered at by Crazy Eddie. (Actually, no summer was complete either, as Eddie was instrumental in introducing the controversial "Christmas in August" sale event, too.) In a golden era of local advertising, Eddie Antar was both the king and the jester, the sort of manic capitalist who could make you feel guilty for not buying a digital watch for that special someone, even if you were only in second grade. The Canada Goose Chilliwack Parka are bright and very easy to spot in the snow or anywhere you might be! In real life, Eddie wasn't crazy, but he wasn't all there, either: From the moment the company was founded in the pre-artisanal Brooklyn of 1971, it was rife with fraud. At one point, Eddie was funneling millions of dollars into Israeli banks, which promptly wired the bills to Panama. In the end, the craziest thing Eddie ever did wasn't the deep discount on the reel-to-reel player. It was cheating on Debbie, his high school–sweetheart wife,This is my review of my Canada Goose Trillium Parka and how it . with another woman named Debbie. (They were caught, in flagrante digital licto, by OG Debbie on New Year's Eve. Let's hope no one was wearing the Santa hat.) Anyway, Eddie was eventually convicted, fled to Tel Aviv under a fake passport, was arrested and extradited, and spent most of the '90s behind bars. My favorite thing about Eddie Antar — huckster, con man, over-rater of calculators — was that despite his unstoppable, vaguely terrifying love of Christmas, he probably never had a Crazy Christmas Tree in his Crazy Condo. Crazy Eddie was Jewish.

Mark Lisanti: The 1980s were a simpler time. Back then, a prodigal, letterman-jacket-clad son could slip quietly into the house, arms laden with presents for his loving family, and crack open a can of delicious Folgers with an adoring sister, and the only suspicions aroused were those of the slumbering parents, who thought Santa might have arrived early to fill their house with the smell of classic roasted holiday joy.

But we now live in a more complicated world. When "Peter" arrives home from his adventures in the ostensibly java-bereft lands of West Africa, his backpack bursting with exotic gifts from "far away" (we never see what's in that box, but it's almost certainly opium-based; when you can't get supermarket-quality canned coffee, you have to take refuge in whatever gets you through the day), the exchanged smiles and coy bow-play inspire different, queasier feelings. Ones that make people describe this updated ad in far more sinister terms and then compose disturbing fanfic about the relationship. So thank you, Folgers Incest Claus, for squatting atop our chimneys and dropping this new holiday tradition into our living rooms every year since 2009. It wouldn't feel like the holidays without it.

Emily Yoshida: This ad is not only fantastic, it was a formative part of my creative education. I was in a video production class in fifth grade, and our final project was to create a television commercial. (My group ended up making an ad for a service that put together and executed garage sales in exchange for a cut of the profit. This is a terrible idea for a business, and it ended with a group dance to James Brown's "I Got You," which is an idea I think we stole from a Senokot commercial.) Anyway, in order to learn how to plan our shoots, the teacher had us draw storyboards off preexisting commercials. I knew whatever ad I picked should reflect my personality and also include imagery that I would be excited to draw over and over again in 30-plus frames. So of course, I taped this Klingon-language Hallmark ad off an airing of Deep Space Nine and proceeded to get really good at drawing Birds of Prey. Never got that ornament, though — Mom thought the Klingon were too violent a people to be represented on the Christmas tree. I dunno, maybe she wasn't reading the subtitles — they seemed to be way more diligent about writing thank-you notes than I ever was.

Charles P. Pierce: The Budweiser commercial gets more hype, but this one, with the lovely piano music and one-horse sleigh, is the one that most means Christmas to me. (Also, I prefer High Life to that St. Louie Kool-Aid anyway.) In fact, very often, the two get confused. On an episode of Designing Women, Charlene once referred to how sentimental she got when she saw "the Budweiser ad playing 'I'll Be Home for Christmas.'" That, of course, is the theme to this ad. (The Bud Christmas commercial plays the Budweiser theme.) And, yes, I watched Designing Women and remember specific dialogue from it. What's it to you?

Brian Phillips: Look,The Canada Goose Montebello tend to be more leisure, thus opening a broad space on the fashion area. children! A 6-foot-3 clown in yellow slaughterhouse coveralls is performing lyrical pirouettes across the middle distance of our neighborhood skating pond! His face looks like a chemical accident! Let's conga!

This commercial essentially played on repeat on every channel during the entire 1980s, which explains why — to this day — the sight of Battle Cat makes me long to accept a milkshake from a pedophile. I love Christmas.

Looking back on some real "winners" this election season

This is it. The end of the road.

After today, there will be no more suggestions that a state Senate candidate is trying to run over grandmother with an automated car. No more insinuations of terrorists seeking office in Brandon. No more brothels, nudists or tax cheats.

Sadly, election day has arrived. Which, of course, means paid political advertising is about to end.

It's heartbreaking, I know. We've laughed, we've cried, we've seen a U.S. Senate candidate pay for a prime time TV commercial to let us know his mother endorsed him.

Insane? Maybe. Over the top? Usually. Informative? Maybe for those who believe reality TV is completely spontaneous, and politicians have your best interests at heart.

In other words, welcome to the World Series of Liar's Poker.

So before the polls close – and the allegations of voter fraud begin – let's look back at the folks who wanted to win in the worst ways possible. If you like to be elegant, Canada Goose Womens Resolute will be your best choose.

Secret Agent Award: A Democratic state senator in Jacksonville was lambasted in a mailer for voting with Republicans to "hurt progressives." Another Democratic senator was mocked for contributing to George W. Bush's 2000 campaign.

They were among a half-dozen Democrats attacked as Republican-friendly by the liberal-sounding outfit "Progressives."

What's so wrong with that?

Progressives was actually a Republican-run group attempting to sour Democrats on their own candidates.

Who? Us? Award: A caricature of a black congressman in a boxing ring punching out an elderly white woman (Medicare!) and knocking out a younger white woman (women's health care funding!) while mocking the former soldier's reputation as a fighter.

Democrats should have been all over this one, decrying the obvious ploy on racial fears. Except Republican Allen West was the congressman and a PAC for his Democratic foe paid for the TV ad.

Guilt By (No Apparent) Association Award: The mailer looks ominous. One picture shows angry protesters from Occupy Wall Street. Another shows a masked terrorist throwing some dangerous device.

"Radical chaos," the ad screams.

It goes on to explain state House candidate Gail Gottlieb, a Democrat from Brandon, was associated with some of the most radical organizations in America.

Like … the Sierra Club?

Take My Wife Award: Term limits are forcing state Sen.The best online shop for sale the hot sell Canada Goose Skreslet Parka. Gary Siplin, D-Orlando, out of office, which has apparently left him feeling nostalgic. His office produced a glossy newsletter that mentioned his wife Victoria a half-dozen times and included a couple of pictures of her.

Oh, by the way, Victoria was running for Gary's old Senate seat. And I'm sure no one knows how Siplin's taxpayer-funded newsletter got sent to potential voters outside of his district but within his wife's newly redrawn district. Alas, the family album didn't work. She lost in the primary.Big LIVESTRONG Cycling and Fitness is a family owned shop serving the Helena area since 1986.

The Grand Sleaze Award: An elementary school teacher in Maitland running for state House was blasted in a mailer this weekend for opposing a bill dealing with teacher tenure. Except the ad didn't address the legislation.

Instead, it showed a picture of convicted pedophile Jerry Sandusky in handcuffs and said "Karen Castor Dentel would rather protect bad teachers ….Shop a wide selection of moncler down coats from Moncler at our online shop. than young and impressionable students."

Yes, We Can Work Ronald Reagan Into Any Conversation Award: Jeffery Goldmacher was running for the Osceola County Commission on a typical Republican platform of reduced government and promoting the local economy. No problem there.

His critics, however, seized on his choice of clothing. Or lack thereof. Goldmacher, who lost in the primary, lived in a clothing optional resort.Max Altitude compares the Canada Goose Tremblant to The North Face.

This prompted a political group to produce a mailer of a naked snorkeler – with a censor's bar over his rear – next to a photo of Reagan.

Reagan, you see, wouldn't even take off his suit jacket in the Oval Office.
