“My best version of talking as a girl as a flirty girl, I should say, is adding winky face emoticons,” Nirenberg said.
The mark took the bait, writing: “U wanna meet?”
When Nirenberg said he did, the target, thinking he was communicating with a buxom beauty, asked, “Will you kiss me?”
Nirenberg coyly responded, “Well … I don't have a boyfriend.”
They made a plan to meet up at Nirenberg's Brooklyn apartment for a date.
Sounds
dicey. As all women know, you NEVER invite a strange dude you meet on
the Internet to your place on the first date. But Nirenberg was
prepared.
The man with Nirenberg's iPhone showed up in a nice jacket, smelling of cologne, and had a bottle of wine, Nirenberg said.
“I
followed him up the stairs and he turns around and, basically, I
confront him right here,” Nirenberg said. “I put the $20 in his hand to
defuse the situation as fast as possible, but I had a hammer in my hand
just in case.”
A hammer? Luckily, the guy returned the iPhone. But as this news footage makes clear, this is NOT something to try at home.

Shoplifters caught on camera
THESE people are being hunted by police in connection with a string of thefts at two supermarkets in Henley.
Police have released CCTV images of the suspects in the hope that Standard readers will identify them.
One image shows a man and a woman entering Sainsbury's in Bell Street where they are believed to have stolen three bottles of whisky.
They were approached in King's Road car park by Pc Scott Rogan but they jumped into a silver Hyundai, reversed out of their parking space and drove off, hitting the officer on the way.buy christian louboutin
Pc Rogan said the woman was at the wheel, adding: “I stood in front of them and held my hand up to stop the vehicle.
“The male turned to her and appeared to shout at her whereby she accelerated towards me. As she got nearer, the vehicle turned to the right but the front of the vehicle hit me at slow speed, pushing me towards the nearside of the vehicle.
“It then drove around me, managing to pass through a gap of stationary vehicles.”
The incident happened at about 2.45pm on December 21.
The man is described as very tall and wearing a dark-coloured jacket and jeans. The woman was wearing a white jumper and dark jeans with a brown shoulder-strap handbag. The car had the licence plate FJ03 ZXX.

He stole a bottle of whisky, two shelf trays of Nurofen tablets and some batteries, worth a total of .

The second woman did exactly the same thing but her haul also included some Christmas cards. The third woman appears to have been the look-out.

Bikini Kill Rises Again, No Less Relevant
Just over 20 years ago, one of the most influential bands in the riot grrrl movement released its first album. Bikini Kill helped define a movement that grew up as an offshoot of punk in the early 1990s, when many women felt marginalized by society, and in some cases, even by the punk-rock community.
Late last year, frontwoman Kathleen Hanna and her bandmates — two other women and a man — took up that thread again. They founded their own label, Bikini Kill Records, to reissue their discography.
"When we started our band, a big part of it was to encourage more female participation in the punk scene," Hanna says. "Selfishly, we wanted more women and girls to play music with when we went on tour. We wanted more women and girls to talk to about the experience of being in a band because we were constantly encountering sexism and having no one but each other to talk to about it."
Carrying that conversation to a wider audience was one of the reasons Bikini Kill was so influential, according to another riot grrrl musician, Molly Neuman.
"They were speaking about subjects that were specific to women and girls and sort of the ... general disenfranchisement that a lot of us felt but maybe hadn't articulated in that way," says Neuman, who played in the bands Bratmobile and the Frumpies.Is my authentic north face jackets truly ? "But then the music was, is, incredible. And I think it completely stands up."

Her introduction was the song "Double Dare Ya," the first track on the band's 1992 self-titled debut.
"The first thing that I heard starts out with a ton of feedback on an amp and Kathleen's voice saying, 'Is that supposed to be doing that?' " Marcus says. "So already it begins with this sense that everything's provisional; you're learning this as you go along."

Does he take inspiration from the dressed-to-the-nines gents of "Downtown Abbey"? What would he wear, should he sit down to a swanky dinner in a George IV dining room filled with Louis XVI furniture?

"They remain at traditional shoe-top length, for the time being. But as ocean levels rise in the future, they may become shorter, to keep the cuffs dry."
How about hats? Is there any alternative nowadays to the universally-worn ball cap?
"Mr. Dude would love to see a return to the elegant, Humphrey Bogart-style snap-brim fedora. But there is a problem. When you try to pull your hoodie up over one, it looks silly."
