Oceanside police search for man in failed carjacking series

Oceanside police are searching for a man — believed to have a gun — who failed at three carjackings in a Target store parking lot Thursday afternoon.

The first two victims escaped, while the third fled after trapping him in her car by hitting a kill switch, police Lt. Leonard Mata said.

The man then smashed through a window and ran off.

The series of attempted carjackings was reported about 2:45 p.m. in the Target parking lot on El Camino Real near Vista Way.

All three victims were women. Two of them said the man had a gun.

Mata said the women described the man as white, possibly in his 40s to 60s, wearing a denim jacket and jeans. One victim said he wore a pink undershirt. He is also said to have leathery skin and “gray, scraggly hair,” Mata said.

The lieutenant said the man approached the first victim and ordered her to get back into the car, as if he were going to steal it with her inside. She drove off.

The man approached a second woman and gave the same order,Cheap Yves Saint Laurent louis vuitton borse High Quality Replica Bags. Mata said. That woman ran into the store.

He told the third victim to remove the car’s steering wheel lock and leave the keys inside. She did, but she also,The high quality Canada Goose Banff Parka women will last you for seasons to come. unbeknownst to the man, flipped the kill switch on the car. She then ran away.

The man got inside the car and tried to start it. But it did not start. And the windows automatically locked, trapping the man inside, Mata said. He broke a window to escape.

Female empowerment was the theme recently during "StudentWorks 12,Buy High Quality Canada Goose Men's Tremblant Jacket Online ." a dance concert presented by the Fontana A.B. Miller High School Dance and Conservancy Programs.

Five Miller students served as choreographers for the show, creating performances that focused on girls and women overcoming various obstacles.

One of the choreographers, Crystal Edwards, entitled her piece "They Were Blind."

"It's about two different types of women -- one being controlled by men and the other being free-willed," she said.

During a struggle between a man and a woman, background dancers helped set the woman free from her oppressor.

Similarly, in Abigail Dixon's piece, "Facing What's to Come," a woman is constrained by a jacket before being able to get away from it with the help of other women.

"It shows the restrictions that a lady has to carry throughout her life,Latest Discount moncler jackets men Online!" Dixon said.Scarpe Hogan Interactive 2012 Donna Marrone replica shoes Outlet .

"Silence," which dealt with parents trying to control their daughters, was choreographed by Angelika Lopez.

"It's about women instead going for their own dreams and own goals instead of going through their parents," Lopez said.

Two other choreographers looked back at historical incidents.

Khanh Luu created "The Pace of Life," which examined the plight of children who were forced into labor to support their families because of poverty in the early 1900s.

"The psychological impact on the maturity of children was greatly impaired," Luu said. "They were forced to grow up quickly."
