Carnival is back again for 2012. This year's carnival includes many of

Carnival festivities kick off Friday evening, March 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the Kenora Harbourfront Tent with opening ceremonies and words of welcome by city dignitaries and Kenora Tourism officials. The Kenora Hospitality Association Snow Sculpture winners will be announced.
Folks are invited to come out for free hot chocolate and watch the fireworks display light up the night sky at 7 p.m.authentic ralph lauren polo This pyrotechnic spectacle by Archangel Fireworks Inc. of Winnipeg is not to be missed. The international award-winning company has entertained crowds at events across Canada for more than 20 years and is known for their innovative design ideas, high quality product and their ability to create awe-inspiring visions.
The K-town Roots & Blues festival takes to the Shooters stage at Lake of the Woods Hotel from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. both Friday and Saturday evenings. Friday's line-up features The Crooked Brothers, Bourbon Creek,canada goose cheap jackets Romi Mayes; Jr Boy Jones with Miss Kerrie Lapai. Saturday's performers include: Hillbilly Burlesque, the F Holes, Shadow Junction, Lil Ed and the Blues Imperials. Tickets are $30 per night, and a special advance ticket will be available for $50 for both nights. Tickets are on sale at the Discovery Centre, Sure Thing, Southview, Nourish, and HoJoe's.authentic north face jackets
Saturday Family Fun
The All Day Family Fun for Free program gets underway Saturday at 11 a.m. with activities and events for young and old on the Kenora Harbourfront, sponsored by Golden Eagle Casino, Ontario Power Generation, Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce and RBC.
The inflatable fun castle will appeal to youngsters in the crowd. Beaver Creek Ranch will be on site offering horse-drawn wagon rides.Online Peak Performance Shop It's a Dog's Life is once again hosting the Dog Agility Contest for canines and their handlers. Mount Evergreen Ski Club will stage the ever-popular Dummy Downhill Races at the ski hill off Airport Road.
The Servers Scuttle sponsored by Casey's begins at 1 p.m. as teams of two race through an obstacle course, holding a tray of glasses filled with water.
A free public swim sponsored by RBC will take place at Kenora Recreation Centre from 3:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Good times and dancing awaits those who take in the 4th Annual Hosers & Mukluks Winter Ball featuring Fat City at the Lakeshore Hotel starting at 8 p.m. Kenora Dinner Jackets are a must! Tickets are $10 and available at the Lakeshore Hotel and Solo Hair Design
