Sailing classes to begin at Winter Park library

The Central Florida Community Sailing Program is offering classes at the Winter Park Public Library for people who want to get the Community Sailing Program Small Boat certification. People in the three-week, 30-hour, hands-on classes will learn how to rig and sail a small boat. Anyone who wants to participate in the program must be at least 16 years old. The classes are on Mondays, April 2, April 9 and April 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the library's Melanson room.
Additional Saturday class times will be set during the first class meeting. Boats and equipment are provided, but students must bring their own life jackets. Costs range from $120 to $145.
