A COUPLE were woken by two men armed
with baseball bats ransacking their home in Whitefield.

At 9.45am, two white men, aged in their early 20s and wearing balaclavas and green reflective jackets, entered Holyrood Post Office in Bury Old Road, Prestwich.
They brandished a screwdriver and a knife and ordered postmaster Omali Bharmal and his wife to hand over money.
Mr Bharmal sounded the alarm and the men fled. Mr Bharmal told The Guide: “No one got hurt and there was no damage to the shop, so we’re very relieved.
“We had a break-in three years ago which was more serious and I have been involved in three of these incidents now. I am just relieved that everyone is okay.”
