AFTER 23 years of dressing and accessorising
men and women in sharp cuts, dark and pale hues and edgy designs, Belgian
fashion house Maison Martin Margiela (Margiela) is bringing back selected pieces
from its collections over the years to the rack.
In collaboration with Swedish fashion retailer H&M which now has two outlets in Malaysia (at Lot 10 in Kuala Lumpur and at Setia City Mall in Shah Alam), local fashionistas will get an opportunity to purchase a piece of Margiela history on Nov 15, from 8am onwards, it was announced at a Press conference here last Thursday.SAXO BANK Cycling
Each re-edition piece is specifically laballed with a unique tag indicating the season from which it originated. The pieces from their archive are reproduced in updated shapes and materials and offered to the broad public as an exclusive synopsis of their history.
The collection is meant to be a representation of Margiela's creative approach, and defined by varying techniques and styles unique to Margiela.
The masculine shapes of their clothings are adjusted to frame the female body with narrow shouldered jackets, darted jackets, and adjusted biker jackets.
There's also a line of oversized pieces for men and women. The women will see a selection including an oversized pea coat, trousers, enlarged watch frame bracelet and supersized toy clothing such as the Dolly cardigan.cheap canada goose
Men can select from the oversized fanny pack, and enlarged child's toy sweater.
There are visible traditional finishings and tailoring procedures and sartorial concepts, particular to the world of couture.
This includes tailored mannequin jacket, pattern cut jacket,canada goose parka jacket pattern cut trousers for women and jacket with fused details for men.
Ambiguity is conveyed through the use of trompe l'oeil or realistic imagery.
The trompe l'oeil in the women's collection can be seen in the day dresses, body with integrated bra, and invisible wedge pump.
